Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

SERVPRO of Murrieta Helps Reduce the Devastation of Fire Damage

Fire and Smoke in Riverside and Orange Counties

Wildfires and structural fires move quickly and can cause immense damage. When structures survive the devastation, SERVPRO® of Murrieta will help restore the buildings to something as good as the preloss conditions.

Smoke damage can result from fires both near and far. Because smoke travels through the air, buildings may suffer from smoke or soot damage even when the fires were miles away.

Whatever the cause of smoke or fire damage, call SERVPRO of Murrieta at 951-894-4392. Smoke, soot, and water from fire-suppression efforts all continue causing harm to structures and belongings until we remove them.

The need for speed is behind one of our promises: Faster to Any Size Disaster. ®

When our SERVPRO of Murrieta team arrives at a fire- or smoke-damaged building, we inspect the whole structure for hidden damage. Smoke and soot can stain and corrode:

  • Electrical wiring inside walls
  • Electronic equipment
  • Drywall
  • Support beams
  • Subflooring
  • Concrete
  • Metal
  • Textiles
  • Wood
  • Stone

We clean and disinfect all surfaces, including the air ducts.

Salute to the Firefighters

Wildfire season in California has been starting earlier and ending later each year. At SERVPRO of Murrieta, we remain in awe of the women and men who work to save lives, buildings, and federal, local, and private land.

Fulltime firefighters in California must pass certain minimum requirements just to apply to training programs. Requirements include:

  • Age 21 by time of appointment (for seasonal/ temporary work, the age minimum is 18)
  • United States Citizen
  • Character references
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)
  • California driver’s license
  • Pass the Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT)

The application can take several months to process. The training and probationary periods also last several months.

People who want to be firefighters spend considerable time and effort to go against the survival instinct and run toward danger instead of away from it.

Thank you.
